National Business Women's Week
BPW/USA's observance of National
Business Women's Week takes place the third week of October.
Local BPW's set aside this week to honor and
highlight the achievements and contributions of working women in the
marketplace and in their community.
Over the years, National Business Women's Week has become an event
widely recognized in communities and has received a commendation of
every President of the United States since Herbert Hoover.
Women comprise the majority of the American work force, contributing greatly to the economic, social and political life of the nation.
BPW/USA has been the moderate lobbying voice for working women for over
75 years and dedicates itself to promoting equality in the workplace and
economic self-sufficiency for working women.
BPW's International Federation is recognized by the United Nations as an
International Observer and is honored for its contributions which
benefit women around the world.
